A Brief History

Wardley Methodist Church was a direct descendant of the former Chorley Road Swinton Church. The congregation used the premises at All Saints Anglican Church for a number of years after their own building was demolished. Later, in the 1980s, they moved into Wardley Community Centre. The room was light, bright and pleasant and they were able to concentrate on being a worshipping community without the worries of building maintenance.

Afterh Wardley Methodist Church ceased to worship, the congregation dispersed to other churches in the area.
