The Salford Circuit of the Methodist Church is seeking to appoint a

 

Circuit Administrator

 

The role involves providing administrative support to the superintendent minister and the officers of the Salford Methodist Circuit (the local grouping of 6 Methodist churches).

 

The successful candidate will have the following essential attributes:

  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic IT skills including office applications

  • Able to deal appropriately with confidential issues

  • Sympathetic to the aims and objectives of the Methodist Church

 

Previous administrative experience will be an advantage.

This is a part time appointment (12 hours per week).

The proposed hours of work are 9am to 12pm four days per week or as agreed

with the line manager.

We are offering a salary of £12.50 per hour, depending on experience, plus expenses.

The Salford Circuit of the Methodist Church is seeking to appoint a

 

Lay Pastoral Assistant

 

Part-Time: half of full time 20 hours per week

 

Salary:  £11960 per annum £11.50 per hour

 

Term: Permanent

 

Salford Circuit has a clear strategy for focusing energy and resources in parts of the circuit with the potential for missional development, and this post is a key component in this strategy.

We are seeking a responsible, caring and resourceful person, to be based at the Salford, Irlam of the Heights and Monton section of the circuit, who will offer pastoral care for the congregations of three churches: Emmanuel Church Local Ecumenical Project; The Height Methodist Community Church; and Monton Methodist Church.

It is a requirement for the postholder to be a Christian and a regular practising member of a congregation.

Main Responsibilities:

 

The successful candidate will be involved pastorally in visiting and supporting the people of these churches in a variety of ways, and work alongside the Circuit Superintendent in this area of responsibility.
