It's that time of year again, when our churches get filled with God's Bounty as we celebrate the Harvest Festival.
Manchester Road Methodist had a beautiful display, with all the donated food going to the Irlam and Cadishead Foodbank where it will make up part of the emergency food parcels they prepare for those who would otherwise go hungry.
Meanwhile, at Monton Methodist they welcomed back Rev Julie Herbert to lead their Harvest Service. This also marked the last service at Monton for around four weeks as some building work is being done. They will be joining Patricroft Methodist for worship during this time.
As we celebrate harvest, we thank God for his immeasurable generosity, and we remember that while we often have much, there are many people, around the world and in our own communities, who have little.
