Messy Project is a weekly afterschool club for children at St Mary's CofE Primary School.

Based on the model of Messy Church, each term 20 children take part in games, crafts, discussions and make and eat food, while looking at issues that affect them in the lives.

It is a joint initiative between the Salford Circuit an St Mary's CofE Primary School.

What is Messy Church

At Messy Project we are currently looking at Fear, and over the weeks will be focusing on

  • facing Fear with Prayer

  • facing Fear with Faith

  • facing Fear knowing God is with you

  • facing Fear with belief

  • facing Fear with God's help

  • facing Fear with thankfulness.

Ms J McGarry, Headteacher at St Mary's says:

"We are hoping that the project will ignite a genuine interest in scripture and strengthen the link between home, school and church. We like to think that it will contribute to the establishment of faithful families from our community who immerse themselves in the life of St. Mary's Church and all it has to offer."
