A Potted History
Wardley Methodist Church was a direct descendant of the former Chorley Road, Swinton, Church. The congregation used the premises at All Saints Anglican Church for a number of years after their own building was demolished, before moving into the Wardley Community Centre in the 1980s. The room was light, bright and pleasant, and they were able to concentrate on being a worshipping community with no worries about building maintenance and repairs.
Regrettably, there are no more services in this building.. The congregation has dispersed to other churches in the area.
If you have any information about previous premises, we would be pleased to receive it - please e-mail us.
