A Potted History
Emmanuel Church came into existence on the 30th. April 2006 when Salford Methodist Community Church and St. Ambrose Church of England signed a Local Ecumenical Partnership agreement. At first the congregation held their Church services in the former Salford Methodist Community Church building. However Emmanuel Church has recently moved into its new building at 174 Langworthy Road. Today Emmanuel is a single congregation incorporating both Anglican and Methodist approaches to worship. At present the Church worships in the Community Room but it is hoped that the congregation will be able to enjoy worshipping in a new purpose built worship space some time in the first part of 2012.
